Hatha Sivananda Yoga
with Dhanush
Sivananda Yoga is a traditional, slow-paced, and deeply spiritual form of Hatha Yoga. It focuses on preserving the health and wellness of the practitioner through a holistic lifestyle approach. It was synthesised and brought to the West by Swami Vishnudevananda in 1959, based on the core spiritual teachings of his guru, Swami Sivananda. Unlike faster-paced contemporary fitness styles, Sivananda Hatha Yoga integrates physical movement with a heavy emphasis on breathwork (pranayama), meditation, and relaxation.
