Acupressure Therapy

Acupressure Therapy

This traditional therapy involves applying firm finger pressure or using acupressure tools on specific acupoints along the body’s energy pathways (meridians) to stimulate the flow of Qi (life energy).

Description of Therapy: How does it work?

By applying pressure to targeted points on the body using hands, wooden tools, or other acupressure instruments, the therapy encourages the smooth flow of Qi along meridian channels. This process helps relieve muscle tension, balance the body’s systems, and promote natural healing.

Description of Therapy: What are the benefits?

Acupressure provides a wide range of benefits, including stress reduction, pain relief, improved blood circulation, and reduced muscle tension. It may also support digestion, alleviate nausea, promote better sleep, and help with conditions such as insomnia. Wooden acupressure tools further enhance the experience by offering a convenient and accessible way to achieve relaxation and recovery at home.

Description of Therapy: What should the client expect?

A session generally begins with a brief health check, followed by the application of gentle but firm pressure to specific points on the body. The treatment is designed to be safe, soothing, and deeply relaxing. Clients may also receive simple aftercare suggestions to support continued wellness.

Any limitations, restrictions, or conditions for participation?

Acupressure therapy is not recommended for clients with skin allergies, those who have undergone surgery within the past year, or those with implants such as plates, rods, or cardio-related devices. Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy

Description of therapy: What is it?

Cupping therapy is an ancient healing technique that some people use to ease pain. A provider places cups on your back, stomach, arms, legs or other parts of your body. A vacuum or suction force inside the cup pulls your skin upward.

Description of therapy: How does it work?

Cupping therapy works by creating suction on the skin, which draws the underlying tissues upward. This action increases blood flow to the area, potentially promoting healing and reducing pain. The suction can also help to release muscle tension, stimulate the lymphatic system, and relax the nervous system.

Description of therapy: What are the benefits?

Reduces pain and inflammation.

Decreases muscle tightness.

Improves blood flow.

Increases range of motion.

Description of therapy: What should the client expect?

During cupping therapy, a practitioner will apply cups to your skin, creating a suction that may cause a pulling sensation or mild discomfort but should not be painful. After the session, expect circular marks similar to bruises on the skin, as well as possible temporary soreness, fatigue, or dizziness, which are normal side effects that typically fade within a few days to a couple of weeks.

Any limitations, restrictions, conditions for participation?

If the participant underwent any surgery or implanted with any plates, rod or cardio surgeries within one year not recommended take this therapy

Deep Tissue Massage Therapy

Description of therapy: What is it?

A deep tissue massage is a therapeutic technique using slow, deep strokes and firm pressure to release chronic muscle tension and "adhesions" painful tissue that restrict movement and blood flow.

Description of therapy: How does it work?

It targets deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue

Description of therapy: What are the benefits?

Chronic muscle pain and stiffness

Sports injuries and muscle strains

Conditions like sciatica and fibromyalgia

Adhesions that restrict circulation and cause inflammation

Improving blood flow, reducing inflammation, and promoting natural healing

Restoring range of motion and flexibility

Description of therapy: What should the client expect?

A deep tissue massage targets chronic muscle pain, tension, and injuries by using slow, firm pressure with fingers, thumbs, forearms, or elbows to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia. You can expect the therapist to first warm up your muscles, then apply focused, deep strokes, and friction to break up tight knots (adhesions) and scar tissue, which can feel intense but should not be painful. The goal is to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, realign tissues, improve mobility, and alleviate pain, though some soreness afterwards is possible.

Any limitations, restrictions, or conditions for participation?

If the participant underwent any surgery or was implanted with any plates, rods or cardio surgeries within one year not recommended to take this therapy
